Matt Lucas

Matt LucasMatt Lucas is an English comedian, screenwriter and actor. He is perhaps best known for his acclaimed work in the television show ‘Little Britain’ as well as for his portrayal of the surreal score keeping baby George Dawes in the comedy panel game show ‘Shooting Stars’. In 2010 he entered Hollywood playing Tweedledum and Tweedlede in Tim Burton’s ‘Alice in Wonderland’.

His part in ‘Little Britain’ has created some of the best known comedy characters and phrases of all time in UK TV history; including ‘disabled’ Andy Pipkin, teenage chav Vicky Pollard, “the only gay in the village” Daffyd Thomas and insensitive slimming club organiser Marjorie Dawes.

Not only famous for his TV and Film roles, but Matt has also performed on the West End stage in Boy George’s musical ‘Taboo’ and has appeared in famous music videos including ‘Country House’ by Blur amongst many others. He’s also had a Number 1 single in the UK Charts with ‘I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles)’, which he performed in aid of Comic Relief.

Matt gives a lot of time to charitable work, and is a patron of the Alan Senitt Memorial Trust. He has kindly given his time to host our quiz for free.
